About the Library
Mission Statement
The aim of the WWVA library media center is to make materials available in curriculum subject areas and personal interests in various formats, doing so in a manner aligned with the philosophy and goals of the school. In this information-driven society, students should be prepared to be creative locators, evaluators, and ethical users of information. The library’s purpose is to develop information literate students and lifelong learners.
Book Borrowing Policies
Students may borrow a maximum of 8 items for a period of three weeks. Items borrowed may be renewed, unless there is a prior reservation.
Newspapers are available for reading in the library.
So are magazines. Magazines are not to be removed from the library under any circumstances.
Items more than three weeks late will be declared overdue.
Items must be returned by the end of the semester. If they are not, exam permits will not be issued to the student until they account for the item. If the item is lost, the student must pay for the replacement cost.
